Reading star!

Ezekiel was last weeks winner from Rm 24 for reading the most books on his iPad. He got a special prize in his letterbox from Ms Gaston. I think it was a chocolate bar and a balloon?! Well done and keep up the great work, from Mrs Carter.

Rippa star!

At Friday's online Assembly Ezekiel was awarded "Most Valualble Player" for the Under 7s Red PES Rippa team for last season! He represented and played at the Marist/Tamaki rugby club, training at school and playing games every Friday night. Congratulations for getting MVP in your team and keep being fit and active in lockdown from Mrs Carter.

Spelling new words

Ezekiel has been super busy learning lots of rhyming words (words that sound the same) at home during lockdown. Take a look at his awesome work. Mrs Carter is so proud of your effort.

Level 4 lockdown!

Ezekiel has been joining in our daily Google Meets with Team 2 and he has also wrote in his daily journal yesterday: Today I feel happy because I am with my family safe at home. Keep up the great work from Mrs Carter.

Ezekiel enjoyed playing the Ball and Spoon race with his friends in Rm 24 for Kiwisport in Term 3!

Gymnastics in Term 2

For Kiwisport this term Coach Mel has taught us how to move and control a hoola hoop using one hand to spin it around. After lots of practice some of us got hte hang of it...This is really great for our large motor skills and hand - eye coordination as well.

Matariki Day

Ezekiel was fascinated by the texture of the clay and tried his best to mould it into the shape of a banana to create a mini waka and then he enjoyed decorating it with small colured stones and pebbles. This was a great sensory experience as the clay went from soft to hard and will need time to dry in the sun.

My trip to Stardome!

Ezekiel enjoyed exploring all the fun science activities inside the observatory at Cornwall Park in Greenlane. We also got to play at the playground afterwards and have a go on the toy train! What did you like the most?

Happy 6th Birthday!

Making paper snakes!

Today I had fun folding two pieces of coloured paper and then glued them together to create this pretend snake. I learnt about over and under and repeating the pattern.

Water safety in Term 1!

For the next two weeks Team 2 get to go swimming at the Glen Innes pools. Ezekiel enjoyed learning how to use the flutterboard and go under the water to get the toy!
